Keeping your body healthy is always very important and there are services in Washington County to help you do just that.
Kathryn Dodrill was at the Washington County Commissioners meeting today to talk about healthy people, healthy finances and healthy relationships.
Dodrill works with the Ohio State Extension Educator and Family and Consumer Services here in Washington County where they put on programs to help people improve the quality of their life for a more healthy lifestyle.
Dodrill says the diabetes class in particular has helped many people in Washington County live better and easier with the disease.
"Please come because it's a great class. We have people tell us all the time and write down what they have learned from this class. The diabetes educators at Marietta Memorial Hospital work with us. So we talk about the disease, eating for the disease, you know, eating out and then we do actual food preparation in the class," said Dodrill.
They are currently putting on classes to help people deal with their diabetes, manage their finances and even help people manage their food stamps purchases.
The next diabetes classes are October 14, 21 & 28th from 6-8:00 PM.
